Day 2/365-edit
As I was checking out this pic of the tree I took on my second day of the 365 photo challenge I was thinking that this would probably look better in B&W. This way the texture is the main focus of the photo. I think the green is distracting. What do you think?

For the B&W conversion, I used the Photoshop tool instead of merely decreasing the saturation. This allowed me to use the B&W sliders to get rid of that sun flare in the middle of the photo. I also used a High Pass filter to sharpen the B&W tree to give the texture more focus. The color tree is as shot and downloaded straight from the camera (minus image processing to reduce the file size.)

i like the black and white also
I really like how the tree is in black and white but i believe that if there was something else in the tree, such as a bird or so, it would be better in color.
I like the black and white the best, you’re right the green is distracting. I have a hard time “seeing” in black and white, but I’m so impressed when I see others do such a good job.
